Ascent of Kilimanjaro
Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain of Africa, with 5.896 meters. During the ascent, we will find lots of different landscapes, flora and fauna that we won’t probably forget. It’s not a difficult ascent, it’s more like a trekking of great height through paths. We will overnight in established campsites. Every day you have to walk 4 to 6 hours, apart from the last night that takes a bit longer.
The most popular routes are five: Marangu, Machame, Umbwe, Shira y Rongai.
The ascent requires physical fitness.
Ascent of Meru
The Mount Meru has a height of 4.566 meters. It is the second highest mountain in Tanzania. It’s an active volcan with a cauldron of 5 kilometres diameter. Usually, the ascent of Meru is used as preparation and acclimatization for a posterior adaptation to Kilimanjaro.
The views to Kilimanjaro and to the Lengai Volcan will be a good reward.
